P2P day 14
1,196 miles down, only 2,642 to go. Tonight’s stop is the Super 8 Hotel in Columbus, MT (not a lot of options here). Enjoying riding through the conservative West seeing all of the American flags and pro-military stuff. Walking through this small town you see yellow ribbons carved out of wood and nailed to signposts with a soldiers name and branch of service written on it. Whatever your view on the military is you have to admire the pride they have in their citizens.
Good on ya Super 8. Love the rhyme, too.

Great sign I saw at tonight’s dinner restaurant:
Before I leave Montana I’ll leave you with some Montana facts:
- The first luge run built in North America was built in Lolo Hot Springs (where I just was) in 1965.
- The population density is 6 people per square mile
- In 1888 the city of Helena had more millionaires per capital than any other city in the world.
Headed to my 5th state of the trip, Wyoming, tomorrow. Hope to have some better pictures.
Out.
Love the people of MT!
ReplyDeleteI've stayed at a Super 8. Thinking they should change the name to Slightly Below Average 8.
